All is Well

Had my 32 week doctor appointment yesterday. My weight gain is right on track, blood pressure is perfect, and baby Gratz heartbeat is good at 132. Not much else to report, other than the shock I still expereince when walking past my own reflection!

Yesterday at Trader Joe's the cashier said, "Wow, you eat really healthy... you're growing a little Spartan in there!" Quite amusing the things people say to pregnant women :)

30 Weeks

My 30 week doctor visit went well. Baby Gratz's heart rate is 152. Some people believe this correlates to the gender, but there is no scientific research to support that theory. I'm glad, because I still want the gender to be a surprise. Most people with predictions are guessing boy, based upon Chinese calendar, the shape of my belly, swinging necklaces over my wrist and other 'methods' of gender identification. I really don't know... One thing I do know for sure is baby Gratz is an active little bugger. The movements have changed from twitching-like feelings to all out elbows and feet to the ribs. I can kinda tell where the body parts are, based upon the lumps and movement... very, very interesting!

It's been awhile....

I sure have grown since the last post... Can't even beleive that's me!

We enjoyed a great mother's day at our house with all the moms. Everyone is already considering me a mom, but I don't feel I've earned that title yet. Although, carrying around a 3lbs. baby inside me is starting to feel like I'm making progress towards that title :)

We've been working on the baby room and are getting close to 'ready' but still need to hang a few things on the wall and paint a shelf.

One last update: Dave's new obsession is birds. Our deck set-up for birds rivals the best chineese buffet for humans. We've seen cardinals, goldfinches, hummingbirds, chickadees, indigo buntings, cowbirds, and more I'm sure that I've forgotten. Just ask Dave... he will pull out the bird book to show you all the ones he's seen so far.
